When I decided to reduce my weight, I went on a diet which achieved a reduction of 12 kilograms over a period of 1 year without exercise. For me, the main challenge with going on a diet is that I can't follow a diet based on exact food items and strict schedule.
So I made up my own diet, which can be summed up in the following 4 rules:

- Be very persistent
- Do not eat sweets
- Reduce the portion size to half of pre-diet portions
- Do not eat anything except fruit after 7 PM
