After a more than a month of not cycling, I started this year with as much effort as possible. I can confirm that cycling is one of the best exercises for fitness recovery - no prolonged pain or muscle soreness.
I did two rides this week, and progress is good:
- The first ride was 27 kilometres, with an average speed of 22.5 km/h.
- The second ride was 30 kilometres, with an average speed of 24.5 km/h
I think this is not a bad increase in speed and endurance over a short period of time
My second goal for this month is to return my diet to the regular non-holiday program (i.e. eating less and avoiding sweets). This year it seems to be more difficult than the previous years.
What is your holiday fitness recovery? Tell us in the comments!
As far as I know, most people consider "recovery" as a harder task than simply starting your fitness training. But you did a good start on your recovery!
ReplyDeleteMy fitness recovery plan is to start again, as if I'm just beginning with the whole process. Just trying it differently from the past holidays. Wish me luck!
