Just keep going!

This year I started cycling much earlier - I started on the Jan 1st 2014. I managed only 8 rides so far, mainly due to poor weather.

The total distance may seem small to some, but it's not bad for a fitness effort in winter. I managed to drop 1.5 kilograms of the 3 kilograms i gained during the holidays. Here are some stats from Strava:

For those that see a lot of poor weather - most homes have an elliptical machine or stationary bike that is rarely used. It's a great replacement for a ride when it's too cold or too wet, just do at least 30 minutes daily, and gradually increase the resistance.

Don't wait until april to start your fitness effort for this year. Start early, and keep going. A few kilometres a day adds up.
