This year I started cycling much earlier - I started on the Jan 1st 2014. I managed only 8 rides so far, mainly due to poor weather.

The total distance may seem small to some, but it's not bad for a fitness effort in winter. I managed to drop 1.5 kilograms of the 3 kilograms i gained during the holidays. Here are some stats from Strava:

Don't wait until april to start your fitness effort for this year. Start early, and keep going. A few kilometres a day adds up.
